Our House!

Thought I would post a pics of our house! Jonathan and I worked in the yard together today and we are pleased with our results!!!

Dinner at Jericho

We had a great time at Jericho Golf Club and were surrounded by great company! We dined with Ana, Jack, and Patty. Martin is in England, so we missed his company. Here is a pic of Jonathan and I on our way to eat. 25 weeks and counting!

I What????

I just had my 24 week checkup on Tuesday and everything is progressing as expected. Needless to say, I was a bit shocked when the nurse told me I gained 6lbs. in 4 weeks! I was on the scale and said--"oh my gosh, really?" She said to expect big gains this month and next month! Whew, Baby Whit must be hungry!

Jonathan is such a great daddy to be--he is there for me every step of the way. He goes to all doctor's appointments, comforts me, consoles me, brings me back to reality, laughs with me, listens to me cry--you name he does it! On top of that he mows the yard, cooks my dinner nightly, hugs me, makes me coffee, the list goes on. I feel truly blessed!

Note: These pictures were taken after a 12 hour day which included working with high schoolers for 7hrs.

23 weeks and counting!

I am a little over 23 weeks now!!! I can feel Baby Whitaker kicking away. Jonathan was able to feel him kick for the first time last night. He was so excited! Needless to say, it was a super kick because I really felt it, but Jonathan only faintly. We are working on the nursery today and I hope to post pics soon. In the meantime, this is a pic of me--we are working on Jonathan's camera skills! Haha.

Bedding Update

I know Sarah is probably sick of hearing the word bedding!!! We have had 2 hour phone call on the topic! I OFFICIALLY decided on the circus bedding. It is super cute and will look awesome on Baby Whit's crib. Pottery Barn Kids had the bumper, bed skirt, and mobile on sale so I bought those three items. Now I will have to scour Ebay to find the sham, quilt, and valance. I saw the rug on there, but haven't decided on it. It is sooo cute.

This is Whit's crib except we ordered it in Ebony. (Thanks Moma, Don, and Sarah)

These are really big decisions and I am having trouble making up my mind! If only all of life's dilemmas were this complicated!!!

Happy Mother's Day to Me!

For Mother's Day, I went to eat at Tastebuds with my in-laws. This is a picture of the mothers! Of course Christopher took the picture and didn't count to three, so... it is not the best picture of me! haha. We had a great time at dinner and only wish Jonathan could have been there.

Bedding Dilemma

So, the bedding I really like was sold on ebay. This is bedding that I am considering. I think the Zebras are precious, but I just can not decide! Why is this so difficult?

Happy Mother's Day!

Well this is my first mother's day as a mom, sort of! It finally stopped raining and the sun is shining. Who could ask for more! (I told my students if it didn't stop raining we might need to build an arc!) Jonathan is in Savannah, GA, for recurrent on the Gulfstream. Whit and I can't wait for him to get home. Jonathan is so thoughtful and before he left, he had a little mother's day celebration for me! He gave me candy and what could be more appropriate than--Whitmans!!! He even wrapped them for me, because he knows I LOVE my presents gift wrapped! Wait until he gets home--I put the chocolates I didn't like back in the box. He HATES it when I do that!!! Oh, well! Happy Mother's Day everyone! I love you mommy!

Jonathan's Home

Well, Jonathan just walked in the door from the Bahamas looking tan! He left on Friday and I found time to be both productive and lazy! I think Whit knows when he leaves because he was kicking the living daylights out of me to let me know he was not happy with Daddy being away!!! Haha.

Whitaker's Nursery

This is the bedding we are thinking about getting!
I think it is just precious. It is from Pottery Barn and of course it is practically sold out:( I found it brand new on ebay, which is one option. Now we must decide if this is the theme we want to go with. Oh, decisions, decisions!

April 2009 Lexington, KY

My lovely sister hosted a baby shower in Lexington, KY for Baby Whit today! There were so many great friends and family present---needless to say I am one lucky mom! My mother, sister, and aunt were there along with Ana (Jonathan's mom) and Nancy (Jonathan's grandmother). It meant the world to me having so much love and support in one room.

Who knew a baby shower could be so much fun!

Sarah, Moma Holly, Ana, Nancy, and I went to Keeneland. Needless to say it was packed. I have never seen it so crowded in all of my years.

Week 21

Jonathan and I went and had our third ultrasound today and the doctors tell us everything looks great! We are both so blessed and we are anxious for Baby Whitaker's arrival!

I am really starting to show now and many of my students are asking me if I am pregnant or just gaining weight!
