Help is on the way!

Let me start by saying that I have had two goals since moving to our house:

1. Paint the rooms
2. Finish the trim

Jonathan and I have almost completed all of this, but it is obviously crunch time. The bigger I get, the less I can do! If Jonathan never sees another piece of trim in his life it won't be soon enough. Poor thing! Also, just when he gets motivated to work on the trim he has to leave for a trip. It has been frustrating for us both.

Having said this, I am so excited that my mother is coming for a visit in a few weeks and she is going to help me around the house. My prayers have been answered. Having an extra set of hands for a few hours a day, for a few days will make all the difference in the world. I recently fell from a barstool I was using as a ladder and it scared me a bit. Baby Whit and I are fine, but I was sore from where I bent and wasn't supposed to bend! Poor sweet Whit didn't know what was going on! I am also to the point that I cannot bend down, which makes household work difficult. Soooo..... mommy is coming to assist with painting trim and preparing the nursery! I cannot wait!

Birth Sampler

After several months on looking for the perfect birth sampler, I am excited to say that my mother found the perfect one!!! It is Peter Rabbit and is identical to the birth sampler my mother sewed for me 30 years ago. Neither one of us could believe it! It is going to be so special and I know Baby Whit will appreciate the thought and love that went into this. Thanks Mommy! Or is it Mimi?

Anniversary

Jonathan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary yesterday!!! We have been together for 7 years--time flies when you're having fun!!! We had a great time spending the day together. Baby Whit has taken much of my energy, so a fancy dinner just wasn't at the top my list!!! Thanks Sarah, Moma, and Aunt T for the well wishes yesterday! Jonathan and I are blessed:)

32 Weeks

Jonathan and I had our 32 week appointment on July 20, and the doctor said everything looks great! Moving right along! The only thing not moving along is my ability to travel. I am no longer able to venture far from home--it is a good thing I am a home body. My only wish is that I could make it to Kentucky before Baby Whit arrives, but I will have to wait. I hate being told what to do!
We now see the doctor every two weeks and during the last month every week. We are so excited!!!

I attached a picture of Jonathan, Martin, and Christopher. Father and sons. Before our appointment Jonathan, Martin, Christopher, Ana, and I had breakfast at PJ's Pancake House in Princeton. It was a lot of fun and reminded Jonathan of when he was a little kid. The pancakes were quite tasty! I probably shouldn't have eaten so much prior to my weigh in!

Outing with Ana!

Ana and I braved Babies-R-Us yesterday to buy baby Whit a few items. I told Ana that he is already spoiled and he hasn't even gotten here yet! Ana bought Whit his first carseat and the fabric is super cute, which is important in this stylish family! I just hope it fits in the car! She also surprised me with a baby rocker. It is my favorite color green and I know Whit will just love it! There is no picture of Ana and I--I had a rough day and wasn't in the picture mood--odd I know! Long story short, there was a snake at my back door that kept me inside and upstairs all day. I was a nervous wreck!! Thank goodness Martin came over and took care of the creepy critter. Poor thing had passed away and Martin relocated him to the woods. :(

Jonathan missed all of the action as he was in Nantucket for work. I told him not to worry, that there will be plenty of opportunities to shop Babies-R-Us!

4D ultrasound

We just got back from the 4D Ultrasound and the pictures are amazing!!! Baby Whit is so cute and we cannot wait to meet him. I know, we sound conceited! My only concern is that he may have my nose! I am not a big fan of my nose! Jonathan says he cannot tell--he is just being nice! haha. Below are a few of the pictures.

Another Great Day!

Jonathan and I just went to our 30 week appointment and everything looks great! The baby has grown a lot since our last appointment and my blood levels are good. A big relief since they were really elevated. We now start going to the doctor every two weeks for check-ups. I have to make sure I stay hydrated, so this means when I am thirsty Jonathan will have to wait on me a little more. haha! The doctor also told me that I might start swelling in the coming weeks--ugh. Hopefully not. She also recommended nose drops to ease the nosebleeds I have been getting. I have never in my life had a nose bleed until now--gross! Too much information I know!

After the doctor visit, we walked to downtown Princeton for lunch and window shopped. We had a really nice time. Princeton is a great little town--it really reminds us of Northhampton, MA. Lots of fun shops:) Jonathan lived in Princeton years ago and a few of the places he frequented as a kid are still in business. We plan on going to a pancake house next time before our appointment. Jonathan used to order the chocolate chip pancakes. It is fun to reminisce about old times! He even saw an ice cream store still going strong.

Tonight we are going for a 3d ultrasound and cannot wait--they are so amazing to see. I wonder if baby Whit, Whit looks like Jonathan?

Harvard Club Boston, Fourth of July 2009

I went to Boston for the Fourth of July with Moma, Don, Tooter, Sarah, Susie, Jackie and Rick. We walked around Quincy Market and the waterfront and enjoyed street performers and a little shopping. Then we went to the Harvard Club on Federal Street for dinner and fireworks. We were on the 34th floor so the view was amazing!

Big Mama at the Pool

So as you know, Jonathan and I LOVE sitting by the pool. Jonathan has worked so hard preparing it this summer, I just had to include some pictures. I dared to wear my two piece to get a little sun and I look huge!!! Jonathan is a true role model--enjoying a cigar and flying radio control airplanes at the pool. If I could upload video I would show a clip of him crashing, I mean landing, his plane into the shrubs. The plane/glider doesn't have landing gear so what do I expect!!!

Philadelphia July 2, 2009

Baby Whit enjoyed his first day in Philadelphia taking in all of the sights! My family and hometown friends were in town, so I thought it might be nice to tour the city of brotherly love. We ate Pat's for an authentic Philly cheesesteak. Baby Whit enjoyed it! Then we went on the Duck Tour and the quackers drove us crazy! The house in the picture is Will Smith's--what trip to Philly is complete without a picture of the Fresh Prince's house! We had great time was !!! I just realized that I don't have too many pictures of all of us.

Family Cookout!

Martin and Ana entertained my family at a cook-out in Martin's garden. We all enjoyed Martin's delicious cooking and had a nice time visiting. Here are a few pics from the night!

Great News!

My doctor just called me and my 3 hour glucose came back negative. Jonathan and I were relieved! One less thing to worry/think about! I am getting larger by the day and baby Whit is moving around like crazy! On another note, Jonathan and I skipped the last birth class on Monday--we just couldn't take it anymore! Does that make us bad parents?!!! We figure 3 classes under our belt are better than none!
